The Accu-Chek SmartView Blood Glucose Control Solution, Level 1, is made by Roche Diagnostics for the Accu-Chek SmartView test strips. When applied to a SmartView test strip, the solution acts like blood, so a control test shows that the meter and the test strips are working properly. It is made for use with the Accu-Chek Nano meter and Accu-Chek SmartView test strips, for use outside the body only. Sold as a box of one bottle.

- Run a control test when you open a new box of test strips, the strip container was left open or the strips may be damaged, the strips were stored in extreme temperature or humidity, you dropped the meter, a result does not agree with how you feel, or you want to check you are testing correctly.
- The acceptable range is printed on the test strip container. OK on the display means the result is in range and the meter and strips are working properly; Err means the result is not in range.
- Only use Accu-Chek SmartView control solution.
Storage and Handling
- Write the date you open the bottle on the bottle label. Discard the control solution 3 months from the date the bottle was opened or on the Use By date on the label, whichever comes first.
- Do not use the solution past the Use By or discard date.
- Store the bottle at room temperature (36-90 °F). Do not freeze.
- Close the bottle tightly after use.
