TheraHoney Products

• Therahoney Sheet: TheraHoney sheet is impregnated with 100% sterile, medical-grade Manuka honey. The dressing is porous, permitting the passage of exudate into a secondary dressing, which helps prevent periwound maceration.
• Therahoney HD: TheraHoney HD is the same as the TheraHoney sheet, but features 200% more Manuka honey than the TheraHoney Sheet.
• Therahoney Foam Flex: The honey provides an osmotic activity that helps wounds heal, while the foam absorbs the exudate, helping create an optimal balance between moisture and absorption essential for healing. Can be paired with absorbent dressing and is compatible with most silver dressings and wound cleanser surfactants.

Recommended Use

• TheraHoney Sheet and TheraHoney HD: Partial and full-thickness wounds, leg ulcers, pressure injuries, first- and second-degree burns, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds and trauma wounds under the supervision of a healthcare professional, and minor abrasions, lacerations, minor cuts, minor scalds and burns.
• TheraHoney Foam Flex: Suitable as a primary dressing for all drainage levels. Indicated for leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, 1st and 2nd-degree burns, surgical wounds and trauma wounds.

What is Manuka Honey?

TheraHoney products contain 100% sterile, medical-grade Manuka honey with no fillers or additives. Manuka honey is derived from the pollen and nectar of the Leptospermum scoparium plant in New Zealand. The honey comb is used only one time, and once harvested, the honey is carefully filtered, irradiated and tested in a laboratory for high efficacy.

Manuka honey has unique properties that help create a moist wound environment conducive to wound healing, promote natural (autolytic) debridement to clear away necrotic tissue, and reduce wound odor.

Dressing Change Frequency

Medline TheraHoney Wound Dressing typically lasts up to 7 days depending on the state of wound or amount of drainage, but should be changed once saturated with exudates or when the dressing appears whitish.
