Dermacea Gauze Sponges are sterile woven gauze dressings made by Cardinal Health under its Dermacea line. These plain gauze sponges feature an 8-ply absorbent design with non-USP Type VII construction. Each sponge is individually sterile, packaged in a peel-back pouch that maintains sterility until use. The sponges are not made with natural rubber latex. Available in two sizes.

How to Use
For cleaning and dressing wounds with sterile gauze:
- Use a normal saline solution (salt water) or mild soapy water to clean the skin around the wound
- Soak the gauze or cloth in the saline solution or soapy water, and gently dab or wipe the skin with it
- Try to remove all drainage and any dried blood or other matter that may have built up on the skin
- Use a clean soft, dry cloth or piece of gauze to carefully pat the wound dry
- Place the clean dressing on the wound as your provider taught you
