Abbott Diabetes Care MediSense Glucose & Ketone Control Solution
PRODUCT DETAILS
The Abbott Diabetes Care MediSense Glucose & Ketone Control Solution is the quality-control solution for FreeStyle Precision Neo and Precision Xtra meters. Applied to a test strip in place of a blood sample, it gives a known result that tells you your meter and test strips are working correctly. For FreeStyle Freedom, Freedom Lite, Lite, and Insulinx meters, the FreeStyle control solution is the right one, not this one.
Key Features and Benefits
- One solution checks both glucose and ketone, for glucose or ketone control testing
- A known result to compare against the expected range printed in the test strip's instructions for use
- A ketone control test needs a ketone test strip, with its expected range printed in that strip's instructions for use
- Recommended when you question a result, or to make sure your meter and test strips are working properly

How to Use the Control Solution
Turn the bottle upside down three or four times to mix the solution. Remove the cap and apply a drop of control solution to a test strip, then mark the test as a control test so it is not saved as a personal blood glucose result. If the result is outside the expected range, repeat the test with a new test strip and make sure the control testing instructions are followed completely; if it is still outside the range, contact Customer Care.
