Medline Maxorb Extra AG+ CMC Alginate Dressing, 1" x 12'' Flat Rope is a highly absorbent, non-woven pad composed of a high G (guluronic acid) calcium alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), and ionic silver. Exposure to wound exudate dissolves the silver and stimulates the release of silver ions. As more fluid is absorbed over time, more silver ions are released, creating a controlled-release antimicrobial effect. It has a non-adherent surface that makes it easy to remove, reducing the risk of further trauma. The dressing is designed to provide superior absorbency, cushioning, and protection for wounds. It also reduces odor by providing an antibacterial barrier to combat bacteria absorbed in the wound exudate. How to Prep and Apply

• Clean the wound area with saline or any wound cleanser.
• Pat the wound dry and apply skin prep, as preferred.
• Apply the dressing to the wound, covering all areas of the wound with slight overlap to periwound skin. For deep wounds, loosely fill the wound.
• Cover with a secondary dressing if necessary.
