PRODUCT DETAILS
Vistec X-Ray Detectable Gauze Sponges are sterile, single-use surgical sponges from Cardinal Health, made of USP Type VII gauze and woven with a blue radiopaque thread so that a sponge left in a surgical site is visible under X-ray. Each 8 in x 4 in (20.3 cm x 10.2 cm) sponge is 12 ply and carries a unique dual-colored element, a blue radiopaque strand combined with a white strand, that becomes clearly visible when the sponge is saturated with blood. The element is latex-free and runs through both sides of the sponge to facilitate counting. Sold as a sterile, paper-banded 10-pack of 10 sponges.
