Limits
Not for the diagnosis of diabetes. Not for testing neonates (children under 4 weeks). Not for arterial or venous blood. Not for critically ill patients. Inaccurate results may occur in severely hypotensive individuals or patients in shock. Severe dehydration and excessive water loss may yield inaccurate results. Patients undergoing oxygen therapy may receive inaccurate results.
Reading your result
Results below 70 mg/dL may mean low; results over 240 mg/dL may mean high. If there are no symptoms, repeat the test; with symptoms, follow the healthcare professional's treatment plan. The ketone symbol appears above 240 mg/dL; check ketones. Results, averages, and graphs stored in memory are a reference only; do not make treatment decisions based solely on them. Your healthcare professional should recommend what your hypoglycemic limit is. Your healthcare professional should recommend what your hyperglycemic limit is. The AgaMatrix Presto system is able to detect specific problems which may allow you to determine the cause of the error without wasting valuable test strips.
Compatibility
The meter takes only AgaMatrix Presto Test Strips and AgaMatrix Control Solution, both sold separately. The strips fit the Presto and Presto Pro meters.
