Coloplast Assura Two-Piece Drainable Pouch
PRODUCT DETAILS
The Coloplast Assura two-piece drainable ostomy pouch is the pouch half of the Coloplast Assura two-piece system: a flat or convex barrier stays on the skin, and the pouch couples to it, detaches for emptying and cleaning, and is replaced as needed. The line spans the adult Original, EasiClose and EasiClose WIDE pouches, a High Output pouch for thick output, and pediatric sizes for children and neonates. The pouches are opaque or transparent, some with a graphic print, and each carries a soft cloth backing and a color-coded coupling that matches the same-size Assura barrier.
Key Features and Benefits
- Two-piece design: the pouch couples to a separate Assura flat or convex barrier and detaches for emptying, cleaning and replacement without disturbing the barrier on the skin.
- Closures: the Original Midi and Maxi pouches and the Pediatric pouch use a clamp outlet; the EasiClose, EasiClose WIDE, High Output and AC Pediatric pouches use the integrated EasiClose outlet.
- Built-in filter for odor control on the EasiClose, EasiClose WIDE, High Output and AC Pediatric lines; the Original and Pediatric pouches are without filter.
- EasiClose WIDE pouches add a wide-lumen outlet for thicker output; the High Output pouch has a soft outlet that connects to the Coloplast fistula drain bag #14010 or to a drain bag with a standard connection.
- Soft cloth on the back of every pouch, and on the front of the opaque pouches as well.
- Color-coded couplings - green, red and blue for the adult configurations, orange and purple for the pediatric ones - match the same-size Assura barrier.
- Not made with natural rubber latex.

Sizing and Coupling
Pouch lengths run from 5 1/2 in (14 cm) on the smallest pediatric pouch to 12 1/2 in (32 cm) on the High Output pouch, with the Mini, Midi and Maxi sizes between them. The coupling color is Coloplast's size code for the matching barrier: green, red or blue for the adult configurations, orange or purple for the pediatric ones. Assura two-piece pouches mix and match with the SenSura Click two-piece system, but they are not compatible with SenSura Mio Click. Barriers are sold separately.
