Cardinal Health Reinforced Gelling Fiber +Ag Dressing is a sterile, single-use alginate rope for the management of moderate to heavy exuding wounds. The reinforced gelling fiber absorbs wound exudate and is suited to pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, post-operative surgical wounds, first- and second-degree burns, graft and donor sites, and trauma wounds. This 0.75 in x 18 in (1.9 cm x 45.7 cm) rope carries an ionic silver complex that releases silver ions in the presence of wound fluid, and is labeled free of natural rubber latex.

Contraindications

Do not use on dry eschar or third-degree burns, for direct application on dry or lightly exuding wounds, to control heavy bleeding, or in individuals with a known sensitivity to alginates and/or silver.
