The non-adherent layer sits over the wound and reduces pain during dressing changes, and the silver in the dressing provides an antimicrobial barrier. The dressing supports a moist wound healing environment that may help reduce the risk of wound infection, contours easily to wound surfaces for increased range of motion while the wound heals, and is indicated for use up to 7 days in radiation dermatitis and cutaneous radiation injury through dry desquamation. Each dressing is sterile and single-use. The line is the choice of the U.S. Army for burn and blast injuries.
