Wound Contact Dressings
Wound contact dressings are the sterile or non-sterile layers placed directly against a wound bed, beneath the absorbent secondary dressing. They come in non-adherent, antimicrobial, foam, and other barrier materials, in sizes matched to the wound rather than the body, and in single or bulk packaging. Choose by the material the wound requires, the size that covers it, and whether the contact layer should stay in place for the full wear time of the dressing.
