3M Health Care Particulate Respirator and Surgical Mask, Regular
PRODUCT DETAILS
The 3M Health Care Particulate Respirator and Surgical Mask is a disposable, cup-shaped N95 respirator designed for the respiratory protection needs of healthcare workers. It combines the two coverings a care team typically keeps separate — the N95 respirator and the surgical mask — in a single face covering. It carries NIOSH approval for at least 95 percent filtration efficiency against non-oil-based particulates, and it is FDA cleared for use as a surgical mask, fluid resistant to splash and spatter of blood and other infectious materials per ASTM F1862. It is intended to help reduce the wearer's exposure to airborne particles generated by electrocautery, laser surgery, and other powered medical instruments. This is the Regular size of the line.

Intended Use and Limitations
This respirator helps protect against certain particulate contaminants, but it does not eliminate exposure to, or the risk of contracting, any disease or infection. It does not protect against gases or vapors, is not for use in atmospheres containing less than 19.5 percent oxygen, and is not designed to be used by children. It is disposable: discard after every use when used for surgical procedures, or when damaged, when breathing becomes difficult, or when contaminated with blood or body fluids. Use it only in the manner indicated in the user instructions. It is designed for occupational use in healthcare settings by adults trained in its use and limitations, is not for consumer sale or use, and 3M recommends against using it in industrial settings. For occupational use, fit testing is required under OSHA's respiratory protection program (29 CFR 1910.134), and it should not be worn by anyone with a beard or facial hair that prevents a good seal between the face and the sealing edge.
