It helps protect the skin while preparing it for dressings, medical tape and other medical applications. The fast-drying formula creates a temporary tack that quickly dissipates, leaving behind a protective coating. The clear brown to dark brown liquid is an ethanol-based solution of benzoin extract.

Torbot sells it as an adhesive skin barrier among its ostomy accessories, and also names blister protection, dressing preparation, first aid, medical tape, surgical skin preparation, wound care and veterinary care as its uses. Around a stoma, special skin care products make skin problems less likely, but skin care products that contain alcohol can make the skin too dry, so keep in mind that this tincture is alcohol-based. Sold as one 4 oz (118 mL) bottle.

Key Features and Benefits

Protects the skin while preparing it for dressings, medical tape and other medical applications

Fast-drying formula

Temporary tack that quickly dissipates, leaving behind a protective coating

Dauber in the bottle for targeted application

Clear brown to dark brown liquid

4 oz (118 mL) bottle

Package Includes

One 4 oz (118 mL) dauber bottle of Tincture of Benzoin

Ingredients

Ethanol (alcohol)

Benzoin extract (Styrax benzoin)

Storage and Handling

Store in a well-ventilated place.
