The broad spectrum antimicrobial action is provided by the sustained release of iodine and the desloughing action is provided by the unique cadexomer matrix. It creates an effective wound healing environment and is effective for the management of chronic exuding wounds, including infected wounds.

How Iodosorb Wound Gel Dressing Works?

Biofilm Disruption: Research has shown that this gel is capable of physically breaking down mature biofilm. This process involves absorbing the biofilm into the dressing, thereby significantly decreasing the bacterial load housed within the biofilm matrix.
Bioburden Reduction: IODOSORB gel has broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties, meaning it can fight against a wide range of bacteria.
