Do not use control solution past its expiration date; discard it 3 months after opening or on the expiration date printed on the bottle, whichever comes first — write the discard date on the side of the bottle.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRemove a test strip from its vial.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eInsert the strip, printed side up, top end in; the meter turns on.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eConfirm the system check screen appears.
